These terms govern your use of sidetax.co.uk (the "Site") and the SideTax calculator and guides (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these terms.
1. The Service
SideTax provides a free, browser-based calculator and educational content about UK side hustle taxation. All calculations are performed locally in your browser; we do not collect or store the figures you enter.
2. Not tax advice
The Service is provided as an educational tool only. Nothing on this Site constitutes tax, legal, accounting, financial or regulated advice. The calculator outputs estimates based on simplified rules and may not reflect your specific circumstances. We are not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and do not provide regulated services.

3. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SideTax, its operator, and its contributors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service, including (but not limited to) any underpayment, overpayment, or penalty assessed by HMRC.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (e.g. for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) attempt to scrape, copy, or republish the Site's content without permission; (b) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (c) interfere with the Site's operation or security; (d) misrepresent yourself as the operator of SideTax.
5. Intellectual property
The Site's content (text, calculator code, design) is owned by the operator. You may quote short excerpts with attribution. Wholesale copying or republication is not permitted without written consent.
6. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party resources (HMRC, accounting software, etc.). We are not responsible for third-party content or services.
7. Changes
We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
